2 Narwhal
2.0.1 Create Your Own Underwater Polymer Clay Narwhal Scene!
Objective: Make a festive underwater scene with polymer clay featuring a narwhal wearing a Santa hat.
Materials Needed:
Polymer clay in various colours (gray, white, pink, red, and blue)
Clay tools (optional)
A baking tray and oven (with adult supervision)
A clear workspace
Steps:
Create the Narwhal:
Use gray clay to mold the body of the narwhal. Shape it like a whale with a long, thin tail.
Use white clay to make the narwhal’s tusk. Roll a small piece into a cone shape and attach it to the front of the narwhal’s head.
Add black eyes and rosy pink cheeks to the narwhal using small pieces of black and pink clay.
Make the Santa Hat:
Use red clay to make a small cone shape for the hat.
Add white trim and a white pom-pom to the hat. Attach the hat to the narwhal’s head.
Create the Underwater Background:
Use blue clay to create a flat surface for the water.
Add light blue or white clay to make light reflections on the water.
Use tan or brown clay to make the sandy bottom.
You can add a few small sea creatures or plants using different colors of clay, but not too many—keep it simple!
